He followed that first novel with An Abundance of Katherines (2006), Paper Towns (2008), and The Fault in Our Stars (2012), which reached #1 on the New York Times bestseller list for children. During this time he wrote his first novel, Looking for Alaska (2005) to immediate, and increasing, success. He lived in Chicago for several years, writing book reviews, writing for radio, and working in publishing. He never attended divinity school, however, because his experience working in the hospital with children suffering from life-threatening illnesses inspired him to become a writer. After graduating from Kenyon, Green worked in a children’s hospital while he enrolled in divinity school with the intention of becoming an Episcopal Priest. Later, he attended Kenyon College where he graduated in 2000 with a double major in English and Religious Studies. During his youth, he attended Indian Springs School, a boarding school near Birmingham, Alabama. Immediately after his birth, Green’s parents moved to Orlando, Florida. Surprisingly, the theme from the book is kept the same throughout the movie, and many of the scenes have been filmed true to the book, a relief for all hardcore fans who would to see their favorite book disagree with the original story.John Green was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. Josh Boone directed the movie, and Scott Neustadter wrote the screenplay. Their friendship quickly evolves, and the two basically become inseparable. The plot centers on the tragic love story of two teenagers who were both diagnosed with cancer and meet while participating in a local Support Group. Also, Green himself has a cameo in the movie. The two have previously co-starred in the movie Divergent. The starring characters are Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters, who will be played by Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort respectively. The Fault in Our Stars movie, based on one of The New York Times’ best-selling novel The Fault in Our Stars written by John Green, is set to come out in 2014, the specific date yet to be released.
